Management Team
Rafael de León de María
After studying Economics at Universidad Carlos III in Madrid, Rafael started his career in stock trading, soon to be granted an internship at the Economic and Commercial Office of the Spanish embassy in Luanda, Angola, in 2010. He stayed for four years in the country where he founded Africorp Trading, providing consultancy services and developing projects for international companies. He then moved to Uganda to create and manage several businesses in different sectors (Industry, Telecom, Hospitality, Logistics and Electronic Payments). Since September 2019 he´s been based in Spain, helping companies succeed through early development and intense growth stages.
Rafael holds an MBA from Universidad Internacional Menedez Pelayo in Madrid and has extensive knowledge in developing markets operational investments.
María Céspedes Olmo
Maria is a prestigious economist with more than thirty years’ experience in different sectors across the world.
Licensed by the University of Oviedo she starts her professional career working in the Bank sector focus on alternative and private equity investments around the world.
In addition, she developed one of the top fashion brands in Spain and internationalize the company to become a global player.
Maria’s experience on different sectors brings a lot of value to Tabar Legacy and its customers and partners. Her specific expertise in equity investments has been crucial for the conclusion of multiple deals for our international clients.
Advisory Board
Andrés de León Cebreros
Known globally for his focused management style and creation of growth-oriented businesses within the infrastructure, construction and alternative energy sectors, Andres was appointed to the role of Chief Executive Officer for Hyperloop TT in 2019.
Andres brings 30 years of international experience as a senior executive in manufacturing, finance management, private/public business negotiation, and tax and audit supervision. He has initiated and executed corporate affairs in Spain, Belgium, Portugal, France, Italy, Mexico, Chile, and the United States.
While receiving a degree in law and his MBA from one of the world’s top business universities, IE Business School, Andres worked in the financial department and became Deputy Financial Director of Terratest Construction in Spain where he oversaw the construction of major construction projects around the world. Later he became General Manager of a multinational industrial group, specializing in the manufacturing of alternative energy products on a global scale.
Rafael de León Cebreros
After 18 years running his events & hospitality company in Spain, with the some of the biggest private companies and most infrastructure public institutions in the country as clients, Rafael now spends most of his time looking for new opportunities for Tabar Legacy and facilitating his network to bring success to the company´s strategies.
With a similarly astonishing prior career (1982 – 2002) in management in the infrastructure sector, he completed for Cubiertas y Mzov (today Acciona, largest renewable energy company in Spain) its main development projects in Cuba, Mexico, Colombia, Algiers, and Hong Kong.
Rafael previously graduated in Economics in 1977 with honours from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and worked for Bankinter (one of Spain´s main private banks) until leaving in 1982 as its Branch Head of risk.
